Artist Talk: Khotan Fernandez

Visual artist and multidisciplinary creator Khotan Fernandez explores the intersection of human vulnerability and strength through sculptural works that blend delicate ceramics with industrial materials. The CAMP Gallery in North Miami presents an Artist Talk with Fernandez on Saturday, February 22 with the formal discussion beginning at 2:30 p.m.

This event is part of the gallery's February exhibition On The Other Side, which pairs Fernandez's work with artist Seth Ellison in an exploration of reimagined landscapes and alternate dimensions. Born in Mexico City, Fernandez brings a rich background in visual storytelling to his artistic practice, having worked extensively in film and television before turning his creative focus to fine art. His current work examines themes of masculinity and fragility while drawing inspiration from Florida's wildlife and the urban landscape of Miami's MIMO district. Through his assemblages, Fernandez creates compelling dialogues between materials, inviting viewers to contemplate the human experience in both its strength and tenderness.
