A defining voice in dancehall, Levy launched his career at just 14 in Kingston, Jamaica, quickly gaining recognition for his distinctive vocals and genre-defining style. His work with prominent producers led to a string of hit songs, including Collie Weed, Shine Eye Girl, Never Tear My Love Apart and the classic Under Mi Sensi.
Levy’s impact continued to grow through the 1980s and 1990s, marked by creative collaborations with artists like Frankie Paul and Bounty Killer. Albums such as Time Capsule and Living Dangerously highlighted his continued innovation and broad appeal.
With the upcoming release of what he has announced as his final album, It’s About Time—featuring guest appearances by Damian Marley and Buju Banton—this performance offers a rare opportunity to witness the enduring legacy of an artist who helped shape the global sound of dancehall and reggae.
