Birthright

Miami New Drama presents the world premiere of Bad Dog, running from April 5 to 27, 2025, at the Colony Theatre. Written by Jonathan Spector and directed by Margot Bordelon, this thought-provoking production follows a group of six young American Jews who bond during a Birthright Israel trip in 2006. As they return home with a renewed sense of identity and commitment to each other, the group finds themselves questioning their shared reality as the world rapidly changes with the rise of social media and technology. 

Spanning 18 years, Bad Dog explores the evolving dynamics of friendship, identity and what it means to live as a Jew in America. The play examines how external forces and individual choices reshape relationships over time, leading to moments of connection and division.
