Black Miami Run Tour: Brownsville

Explore the cultural heritage of one of Miami's historic Black neighborhoods on foot during this guided experience. The Black Miami Run Tour: Brownsville takes place on Saturday, February 22 from 7 to 9am, starting at The Historic Hampton House.

This Black History Month event combines fitness with cultural education through a 3-mile route that highlights significant sites and stories of Brownsville. The tour accommodates participants of all fitness levels, with designated groups for different pacing needs, from walkers to experienced runners.

The morning begins with a warm-up session and an introduction to the neighborhood's history. After the run, participants can join in a cool-down stretch followed by a social gathering featuring music, healthy snacks and refreshments.

This free guided experience offers an active way to learn about and connect with Miami's Black history while promoting community wellness. Registration includes guided tour narration, post-run refreshments and a chance to explore The Historic Hampton House, a significant landmark in Miami's civil rights history.
