Boca Chita Key Debris Cleanup

As part of the 2025 World Ocean Celebration, volunteers are invited to take part in a shoreline restoration effort at Biscayne National Park.

The Boca Chita Key Debris Cleanup will take place on Monday, June 2, departing from the Dante Fascell Visitor Center. Participants will travel by boat to Boca Chita Key to assist in removing marine debris, helping to preserve the island’s natural environment and support local wildlife.

This volunteer opportunity is free with registration and a signed waiver. A $25 refundable deposit is required to hold a spot. The cleanup is hosted in partnership with the Biscayne National Park Institute and the Florida National Parks Association.
