Get ready for eight weeks of Carnaval season. From February 10 to April 6, Greater Miami & Miami Beach will play host to an exciting series of events that celebrate the best Latin music, art and food the destination has to offer: Carnaval Miami, one of the largest annual celebrations of Hispanic culture. Food, music, fashion and sports … these lively family-friendly events promise fun for culture seekers of all ages.
One of the best parts about attending Carnaval is that proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, which enhances children’s lives by funding sports leagues, summer camps, school supplies and college scholarships and offering family assistance. So just know that while you are dancing and eating some great Latin food, you are also giving back to the local community.

Carnaval on the Mile
March 2 & 3, beginning at 10 a.m. both days
Dance the weekend away at Carnaval on the Mile, a two-day celebration of local art, music and fine dining along Miracle Mile in the heart of Coral Gables. During this weekend, Miracle Mile shuts down the street to vehicles to create a safe, fun promenade where you can shop, dance and eat. Visit Artist Village to check out local artists and artisan vendors selling handmade crafts, jewelry, paintings, sculptures and photography, then dance in the street to live jazz, funk and rock music. After dancing, sit down, rest your feet and eat at one of Miracle Mile’s best restaurants for some great people watching and relaxation.

Enjoy laid-back afternoons of laughing, eating delicious Latin food and watching friendly-but-impassioned dominoes matches. Businesses can participate by joining as a team, too.
