Chef's Table on the Bay
Apr 11, 2025
From: 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Fine dining meets cultural exploration in an unforgettable courtyard setting at the historic Deering Estate. The 6th Annual Chef's Table on the Bay will take place on Friday, April 11, featuring An Evening in Peru theme hosted by the Deering Estate Foundation.
This exclusive culinary event showcases the talents of renowned chef Fernando Salazar of Platea Miami, who brings his Quinto Sabor philosophy to the table—a concept representing the depth beyond taste that encompasses experience, sacrifice and the stories behind each dish.
Guests will begin the evening with a cocktail hour sponsored by Golden Rule Seafood and Breakthru Beverage before being seated for an exquisite four-course meal with wine pairings. Chef Salazar will personally describe each course as diners enjoy the carefully crafted Peruvian-inspired menu.
The evening's culinary journey includes a Ceviche Bowl featuring hake with roasted red pepper and rocoto leche de tigre, followed by Tostones with Wagyu picanha, plantains, aji amarillo and salsa criolla. The main course presents a Surf & Turf combination of ginger butter poached lobster tail and anticuchera prime steak. Dessert, aptly named "The Garden," features dulce de leche mousse, lucuma cheesecake, berries and elements prepared with liquid nitrogen.
Tickets for this sophisticated dining experience are available for $175 per person for Deering Estate members and $200 for non-members. Tables of ten can be reserved at $1,575 for members and $1,800 for non-members.
For questions or reservations, interested patrons can contact the Deering Estate Foundation at (305) 680-5219, option 4.
