Multiple event times
Italian cinema returns to Miami Beach with a four-day showcase of contemporary films that have gained recognition at major international festivals. Held at O Cinema South Beach, the 21st edition of Cinema Italy Miami runs from April 25 to 28 and features a curated selection of ten films, each presented in Italian with English subtitles.
The program opens on Friday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m. with Romeo è Giulietta (Romeo Is Juliet), a romantic comedy by Giovanni Veronesi. The story follows a once-prominent director who attempts to stage a final theatrical comeback with Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. A rejected actress returns to the audition disguised as a man and is cast in the lead role, setting off a humorous and layered exploration of gender roles and performance.
Throughout the weekend, screenings include family dramas, comedies and thought-provoking social narratives such as:
- Pare Parecchio Parigi (A Lot Like Paris) – Apr 26, 2:30 p.m.
- L’Ordine del Tempo (The Order of Time) – Apr 26, 4:30 p.m.
- Io e Il Secco (My Killer Buddy) – Apr 26, 7:00 p.m.
