Experience the distinctive blend of reggae, dancehall and hip-hop that has defined Collie Buddz's sound since his breakthrough in the mid-2000s. Collie Buddz will perform at the Miami Beach Bandshell on Thursday, June 12, presented by Deuterman Productions.
Born Colin Patrick Harper on August 21, 1984, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Bermuda, Buddz began his musical journey after studying studio engineering at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Upon graduating at the top of his class in 2006, he pursued opportunities as both a performer and producer.
His early career included notable collaborations, such as working with Shaggy on the single Mad Mad World from the 2007 album Intoxication. That same year marked the release of Buddz's self-titled debut album with Sony Music, featuring tracks like Come Around and Blind To You, which received positive critical reception.
Buddz gained additional recognition when his vocals were featured on SOS, the entrance theme for WWE wrestler Kofi Kingston, included on the 2008 compilation WWE The Music, Vol. 8. He has since built a career that includes numerous collaborations and guest appearances on other artists' projects, establishing himself as a respected voice in contemporary reggae music.
