Composting at Home 101

Residents interested in reducing waste and improving their gardens can take part in a hands-on composting workshop at the City of Doral Government Center. Composting at Home 101, taking place on Thursday, April 24, offers a practical introduction to turning everyday yard waste and kitchen scraps into nutrient-rich soil.
Taught by a University of Florida Master Gardener, this free class covers the basics of composting and provides participants with the knowledge to start their own composting system at home. Attendees will also receive a voucher for a free compost bin.
The workshop will be held in the first-floor multipurpose room of the City of Doral Government Center. Free parking is available at the City Hall Parking Garage at 8401 NW 53rd Terrace until 9:00 p.m.
