Dinos Among Us
Through Sep 14, 2025
From: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Life-sized animatronic dinosaurs bring prehistoric creatures to modern-day Miami in an educational exhibition. Dinos Among Us opens at Zoo Miami on February 22, running through September 14, featuring twenty robotic dinosaurs integrated throughout the zoo's botanical gardens.
The exhibition includes a variety of prehistoric species, from the towering Tyrannosaurus rex to other notable dinosaurs, each animated to provide visitors with a realistic sense of how these creatures might have moved and sounded. The experience combines paleontological education with interactive elements, allowing visitors to learn about extinct species while exploring the zoo grounds.
Opening weekend activities on February 22 and 23 include special programming at Dr. Heredia's Dino Research Station, where families can examine dinosaur artifacts and learn about prehistoric adaptations through hands-on activities. Additional features include appearances by roaming dinosaur characters, trivia contests, and educational sessions with reptile keepers who explain connections between modern reptiles and their prehistoric ancestors.
The exhibition is included with regular zoo admission. Special character appearances during opening weekend include meet-and-greet opportunities with Everglades Ellie, an American Crocodile ranger character who helps visitors understand the relationship between modern reptiles and their prehistoric relatives.
