Early Bird Walk
This event has passed.
Embark on a birdwatching adventure at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden's Early Bird Walk, presented as part of the garden's Earth Day Celebration. Led by experienced naturalist Rangel Diaz, this guided walk offers a unique opportunity to spot some of the over 400 bird species that call Miami home.
Rangel Diaz, a lead naturalist with Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces since 2006, brings a wealth of knowledge to this event. Throughout his career, he's managed educational reptile collections, surveyed sea turtle nests, monitored wintering shorebirds and assisted with habitat conservation efforts.
During the walk, keep your eyes peeled for birds like the Mangrove Cuckoo, Gray Kingbird and White-crowned Pigeon. As you explore the garden's diverse landscapes, Rangel will share his insights into local birdlife and the importance of habitat conservation.
Space is limited, RSVP is encouraged. Meet outside the Garden's main front gate (southeast corner) at 8:00 a.m. for this free event.
