Earth Day at Sgt. Joseph Delancy Park

Miami-Dade Parks invites the community to take part in a hands-on volunteer opportunity focused on environmental stewardship and park beautification. Earth Day at Sgt. Joseph Delancy Park will take place on Saturday, April 19 in Richmond Heights as part of the county’s Park Service Day initiative.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate in a range of outdoor activities, including removing microplastics and litter, planting and mulching throughout the park. These efforts support ongoing conservation goals while fostering community engagement in a family-friendly setting.

Participants are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor work and bring a refillable water bottle. Tools and supplies will be provided. Volunteers under 18 must be registered through a parent or guardian account in Park Link, and those under 17 must attend with a parent or guardian present.
