Traditional Puerto Rican rhythms meet contemporary musical fusion in a live performance by El Laberinto del Coco at the Miami Beach Bandshell. This 15-piece bomba-fusion ensemble, led by percussionist and composer Héctor “Coco” Barez, blends Afro-Caribbean percussion with elements of Latin jazz, funk and folkloric styles to create a distinctive and layered sound.
The concert, taking place on Saturday, July 19, is part of the Mundos series presented by Rhythm Foundation, FUNDarte and Live Arts Miami. Known for spotlighting diverse global music traditions, the series offers a platform for artists who bridge cultural heritage with modern innovation.
