Stitch your cherished memories into tangible art in this hands-on workshop at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Embroidering Memories takes place Saturday, May 10, offering participants an opportunity to transform personal photographs into embroidered keepsakes.
This intimate creative session unfolds in two parts. First, art therapist Sarah Laing guides attendees through reflection on the emotional connections to their photos. Following this, photo-based artist Marine Fonteyne will introduce embroidery techniques that allow participants to creatively enhance and personalize their photographs.
Participants should bring a family photo (black & white preferred) to work with during the workshop. No previous embroidery experience is necessary—all skill levels are welcome.
