Father's Day Fishing Cruise

Fishing enthusiasts and families are invited to spend Father’s Day on the water with an afternoon cruise on Biscayne Bay. The Father’s Day Fishing Cruise takes place on Sunday, June 15, departing from the historic Deering Estate.

Guests will set sail aboard the Pelican Island Skipper, a 45-foot Corinthian Catamaran, for a three-hour catch-and-release fishing experience. Bait will be provided, and while participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear, a limited number of rods will be available for those without. Deering Estate Naturalists will be on board to share educational insights about local sea birds and marine mammals encountered during the trip.

The vessel is Coast Guard compliant and ADA accessible, making the cruise suitable for a wide range of participants. The program is open to adults and children ages 4 and older. As mosquitoes and other bugs are common in the area throughout the year, guests are advised to wear appropriate protective clothing.

Tickets are $65 per person for both members and non-members and must be purchased in advance due to limited availability. Admission includes access to the Deering Estate during regular hours (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) on the day of the event. Participants should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure for check-in at the Main Gate and again before boarding.
