Filmgate Festival: Free For All

Step into a kaleidoscope of cinematic expression where Florida's creative voices shine through short films spanning every imaginable genre. The Filmgate Festival: Free For All takes place on Wednesday, June 25 at Silverspot Cinema in Downtown Miami.

This special edition of Florida's longest-running monthly short film series embraces all storytelling styles, offering a platform for local filmmakers to showcase their work regardless of genre. FilmGate Miami, the non-profit organization behind the event, continues its mission of empowering regional creators by connecting them with new audiences both locally and internationally.

The evening begins with a networking opportunity where film enthusiasts can mingle over drinks and food before the screenings. Attendees can also participate in the "Percolator" segment, a one-minute pitch session to share skills or connect with specific industry professionals.

Following the film showcase, featured filmmakers will join a Q&A session to discuss their creative processes and inspirations. The event culminates with an awards ceremony where a jury of industry professionals will select the night's best film based on technical and artistic merit.
