Miami's rich natural heritage takes center stage through interactive exhibits and family-friendly activities. Free Family Fun Day: Earth Day takes place on Saturday, April 12 at HistoryMiami Museum, providing educational entertainment for visitors of all ages.
This special Earth Day-themed edition focuses on environmental awareness and the unique ecosystems of South Florida. Visitors can participate in a highlights tour of the museum's permanent exhibition Tropical Dreams: A People's History of South Florida, which explores the region's natural environment and its significance to local history and culture.
Throughout the day, families can engage in interactive storytelling sessions that emphasize the importance of environmental stewardship and conservation of local ecosystems. Hands-on experiences include a fauna discovery table where visitors can examine and learn about native wildlife, plus various craft activities that connect children with environmental themes in creative ways.
