Free Second Saturdays: Haitian Heritage Month
May 10, 2025
From: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Celebrate Haitian Heritage Month with a day of art, culture and community at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). As part of Free Second Saturdays, the museum will host a special event on Saturday, May 10, highlighting Haiti’s cultural contributions to South Florida through creative programming for all ages.
Guests can participate in hands-on art activities inspired by the work of Miami-based, Haitian-born artist Morel Doucet, exploring themes of identity through color, texture and silhouette design. The day also features live performances by Tradisyon Lakou Lakay, Inc., a local dance group dedicated to sharing and preserving Haitian folkloric traditions.
In addition to the scheduled programming, visitors are welcome to explore the museum’s galleries, dine at Verde or relax on PAMM’s waterfront terrace. Admission is free all day.
