Gables Family Literacy Festival

Spend the day exploring stories, creativity and summer reading fun at the War Memorial Youth Center. The Gables Family Literacy Festival returns for its fifth year on Saturday, May 17, inviting families to enjoy a wide range of book-focused activities beneath the center’s tree canopy.

The event features a Scholastic book fair, author readings and book signings, along with literacy-themed exhibitors, free screenings and evaluations, and interactive programming for children of all ages and abilities. Attendees can also participate in book exchanges, enjoy live music and browse offerings from local food vendors.

Designed to support literacy development and a love for reading across the community, the festival creates a welcoming space for families to connect with books, educators and one another. Additional details will be announced as the date approaches.
