Garden Wonders: Learn Chinese through Real Gardening

Explore the Mandarin Chinese language through hands-on gardening in an interactive outdoor setting. Garden Wonders: Learn Chinese through Real Gardening takes place on Sunday, April 27 at The Green Haven Project in Historic Overtown. This family-friendly program is a collaboration between Ms. Dan's Chinese and The Green Haven Project, combining language instruction with sustainable gardening practices.

Over the course of an hour, participants will follow a structured curriculum that includes weeding, preparing soil, planting seeds and harvesting produce—each activity paired with relevant Mandarin vocabulary. This immersive experience encourages cultural engagement while building practical skills and an appreciation for the environment.
