An evening of cultural pride and artistic expression takes center stage at the Little Haiti Cultural Center with a community event exploring Haitian identity, creativity and resilience. Taking place on Saturday, May 10, I AM HAITIAN | Mwen Se Ayisyen offers a free, family-friendly program that highlights the richness of Haitian culture through games, film, music, dance and comedy.
The event opens at 5:00 p.m. with a Haitian Games Night led by Annie Brogard, featuring traditional games like dominoes, cards and Jenga. At 6:40 p.m., the evening continues with a screening of the Haitian romantic comedy I Love You Anne.
Beginning at 8:20 p.m., the program shifts to live performances under the banner I AM HAITIAN Memory, with appearances by Atys Panch, Dezirab, Nico T Jèn and dance group Tradisyon Lakou Lakay. The lineup includes music, dance, stand-up comedy and a comedic sketch that reflect the spirit and diversity of Haitian artistic traditions.
All activities are free and open to the public.
