If These Walls Could Sing
Apr 11, 2025
From: 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Experience the unique fusion of classical music and visual art throughout the historic spaces of a Miami Beach landmark. If These Walls Could Sing takes place on Friday, April 11 at The Wolfsonian - FIU, featuring a series of intimate performances that animate the museum's galleries and public spaces.
This innovative musical event, presented in collaboration with IlluminArts, draws inspiration from the current exhibitions The Big World and Harry Clarke and the Geneva Window. Acclaimed soprano Catalina Cuervo and tenor Daniel Bates will perform compositions by Ralph Vaughan-Williams, Manuel de Falla, Erik Satie, George Gershwin and other notable composers in carefully selected locations throughout the museum.
The evening begins with a welcome reception, during which attendees will be organized into two small groups. Each group will experience the performances in a different sequence before reuniting for a grand finale in the lobby. Due to the intimate nature of the performances, participation is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets are $15 general admission and $7.50 for Wolfsonian and IlluminArts members. The event is supported by Miami Beach Arts & Culture and Miami-Dade County.
