See an eclectic lineup of Hispanic theater works at Teatro Avante's 38th International Hispanic Theater Festival of Miami beginning on Thursday, July 11 and continuing on select dates through Sunday, August 4. This year's festival showcases eleven plays presented by theater troupes from Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, New York, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay, Venezuela and Miami. Along with its lineup of riveting plays, there will be bilingual educational forums, a children's day and the festival's annual Lifetime Achievement awards ceremony, with this year's award going to Spanish actor and director Juan Margallo and Spanish actress Petra Martínez.
Performances and festival events will take place at multiple venues throughout Miami that include the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Westchester Cultural Arts Center and the Koubek Center.
