Juneteenth Emancipation Exposition

Celebrate freedom, culture and community at the inaugural Juneteenth Emancipation Exposition on Saturday, June 15 at Homestead City Hall Plaza. Hosted by the City of Homestead, this free event honors the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and the Black heritage.
The exposition will offer an engaging experience for attendees of all ages. Delve into the past with a comprehensive Black History Historical Exhibit, showcasing notable figures and events. Attendees can enjoy a variety of cultural performances, poetry readings and music that showcase the talents and traditions of the African American community.
A highlight of the event is a panel discussion featuring local community pioneers. These speakers will share their personal stories of overcoming challenges in the South Dade area, providing valuable insights into both historical and contemporary issues faced by African Americans, as well as the community's resilience and achievements.
Local vendors and food trucks will be present, offering an array of products and cuisines that reflect Homestead's diverse cultural landscape.
