May 21, 2025 - May 24, 2025
Select Days
Wed: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM | Sat: 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Explore the prehistoric world through hands-on fossil activities designed for visitors with diverse sensory needs. Just for Me: Paleontology 101 will take place on Wednesday, May 21 from 4-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 24 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science.
This event provides a sensory-friendly museum experience with adjusted lighting and sound levels throughout the exhibitions. Participants will have the opportunity to become junior paleontologists by discovering how real scientists search for dinosaur fossils and conducting their own mini excavation.
Just for Me is part of Frost Science's ongoing commitment to creating inclusive environments where individuals and families with diverse sensory and accessibility needs can engage with scientific concepts at their own pace. The museum offers a Social Narrative to help visitors prepare for their visit, and sensory backpacks equipped with noise-reducing earmuffs and sensory toys are available for checkout in both child and adult sizes.
Through the generous support of the Albert and Jane Nahmad Foundation, a limited number of free admission tickets are available for this event. Interested visitors can complete a request form to join this sensory-friendly day of prehistoric discovery.
