LGBTQ Elders Awareness Day Conference

A day of reflection, learning and connection will unfold in North Miami as community organizations come together to recognize the experiences and contributions of older LGBTQ adults. Hosted at the Scott Galvin Community Center, this gathering creates space for intergenerational dialogue and celebrates the resilience of LGBTQ elders.
The LGBTQ Elders Awareness Day Conference, taking place on Friday, May 16, is presented by The Alliance for Aging, JCS/Lambda Living, Pridelines and SAGE. Now in its second year, the event will feature a keynote panel, breakout workshops, art therapy sessions, guided meditation and opportunities for social engagement. An intergenerational conversation will also be part of the program, fostering mutual understanding across age groups.
Lunch will be provided for all participants. A full schedule will be released closer to the date and attendees are encouraged to register in advance.
