Discover the cultural richness of one of Miami's most distinctive neighborhoods during a guided exploration of its art, cuisine and community spaces. The Little Haiti History and Culture Walk takes place on Saturday, May 17, offering an immersive experience during Haitian Heritage Month.
Led by Cidelca, a Multicultural Tourism Ambassador and City Tours Guide with a master's degree in Architecture from Florida International University, this walking tour illuminates the Haitian diaspora experience in an area that hosts one of the largest Haitian populations in the United States. Participants will explore the neighborhood's commercial district featuring Haitian-owned businesses, creole eateries and distinctive art that contribute to the area's unique character.
The journey includes visits to the Little Haiti Cultural Center's art galleries and the Caribbean Marketplace, providing insight into the community's cultural institutions while experiencing authentic sounds and flavors.
Each ticket includes a complimentary family pass to HistoryMiami Museum. Participants should arrive for check-in between 10:30 a.m. and 10:55 a.m. at the Caribbean Marketplace entrance. Parking is available behind the Little Haiti Cultural Complex and on nearby streets. Comfortable walking shoes, light clothing, water and sun protection are recommended for this outdoor experience.
