The 23rd Miami Short Film Festival unfolds across multiple venues in Miami and Miami Beach from November 8 to 10, bringing three days dedicated to celebrating short films from around the world. This year’s lineup features an impressive collection curated from over 500 global submissions, showcasing a diverse mix of genres - from thought-provoking documentaries and animated works to gripping thrillers and heartfelt dramas. Audiences can explore screenings at O Cinema in Miami Beach, Silverspot Cinema Downtown and the historic Deering Estate.
The festival opens on Friday, November 8, at O Cinema at 8:00 p.m. and continues on Saturday and Sunday with multiple screenings at Silverspot Cinema. Sunday also includes a special screening at the Deering Estate and culminates in an awards ceremony following the final screening at Silverspot. With eight screenings scheduled across these three venues, this year’s Miami Short Film Festival invites attendees to experience cinema that captures diverse perspectives and cultures in an engaging, concise format.

- The Short Film Ultimate Medley, November 10 at 3:00 p.m.: A dynamic mix of short films that cater to a variety of tastes, offering drama, comedy and more at Silverspot Downtown.
- Neighborhood Meets the Classroom, November 10 at 6:00 p.m.: A showcase of short films produced by local filmmakers and aspiring filmmakers at Silverspot Downtown.
- The Great Afro-Caribbean Soul in Short Films, November 10 at 8:00 p.m.: A curated selection of short films that celebrate the rich cultural heritage and traditions of African and Caribbean cultures at Silverspot Downtown.
- Journey into the World of Short Films, November 10 at 7:30 p.m.: A special curated selection of short films at the historic Deering Estate.
