Discover how everyday objects and familiar rituals can reveal unexpected artistic possibilities. MOCA Makers: The Mundane as Magical, taking place Saturday, February 8 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, explores the intersection of art, food and healing practices. Drawing inspiration from Andrea Chung's exhibition Between Too Late and Too Early, poet and educator Lysz Flo leads participants through a collaborative workshop examining food histories and recipe creation. The session includes hands-on creation of resin-cast memory objects incorporating exhibition-inspired herbs and plant materials. This workshop connects to themes in Chung's sugar sculptures while offering participants an opportunity to discover deeper meaning in common experiences.
