MOCA Makers: Vision Collage Workshop
This event has passed.
Explore your creative potential and set meaningful intentions for the new year at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami. On Saturday, January 11, the MOCA Makers: Vision Collage Workshop offers participants the opportunity to craft personalized vision boards that reflect their goals for community impact and personal growth.
Miami-based teaching artist Kim Moore leads this hands-on session, where attendees are encouraged to bring personal photos, magazine clippings, and other meaningful items to incorporate into their designs. Inspired by the collage-based work of exhibiting artist Andrea Chung, who reimagines women’s stories and restores agency to her subjects, the workshop emphasizes the power of visualization in shaping a brighter future.
Kim Moore, MFA, is a visual artist whose diverse practice encompasses abstract painting, silk techniques, and cyanotype. As a passionate advocate for LGBTQ rights and mental health awareness, she creates art that addresses both personal and societal challenges. Her latest exhibition delves into themes of illness and healthcare, bringing an intimate perspective to her creative process.
