National DNA Day

Families are invited to explore the world of genetics through interactive, hands-on activities designed for young learners. In recognition of National DNA Day, the Miami Children’s Museum will host a special day of science programming on Sunday, April 27.
Scheduled activities run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and include DNA extraction from strawberries, a candy-based double helix craft and art activities exploring inherited traits. Additional stations introduce concepts like genetic ancestry and DNA coding through interactive games and displays.
All activities are included with museum admission and offer an engaging introduction to biology for children and curious minds of all ages.
