This event has passed.
Fans of The Smiths and Morrissey are invited to an evening celebrating the music that defined a generation. On Friday, February 21, Ordinary Boys will bring their annual "Hated for Loving" tribute to the stage at Gramps in Wynwood.
Formed in Miami in 2010 by vocalist AJ Navarrete, Ordinary Boys was created to honor the legacy of the iconic Manchester band and its frontman. Taking their name from Morrissey’s song “The Ordinary Boys”, the band quickly gained recognition after their debut performance at Churchill’s Pub. Over the years, the group has become a standout tribute act in South Florida, earning acclaim among die-hard fans.
Now consisting of Navarrete alongside guitarist Byron Lopez, drummer Rees Bridges and bassist Craig Rittenhouse, the band meticulously recreates the sounds of their heroes. Audiences can expect to hear classic hits like This Charming Man, How Soon Is Now?, Suedehead, and Bigmouth. This is an opportunity for longtime fans and newcomers alike to experience the timeless music of The Smiths and Morrissey in an intimate setting.
