The 12th edition of The Betsy's Overture to Overtown Jazz Festival is set to captivate audiences with an exciting lineup of live jazz on select dates from March 30-April 14. This eagerly anticipated series showcases the finest musicians from Miami alongside two distinguished artists from New York - one emerging and one legacy. The intimate setting of The Betsy’s Lobby Salon sets the stage for the performances, with additional Sunday evening concerts taking place on the Ocean Drive Promenade, presented in collaboration with the Ocean Drive Association and the City of Miami Beach.
As a tribute to Overtown's history and legacy, The Betsy has been holding its annual Overture to Overtown Festival for nearly a decade featuring live jazz, poetry readings and insightful talks. The festival celebrates the historic connections, between South Florida jazz and the National historic jazz circuit, that brought stars like Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, Duke Ellington and many others to perform in Overtown.
