Peter London Global Dance Company: Miami Night Stars

A celebration of cultural expression and contemporary movement takes center stage at the Miami Beach Bandshell as one of the city’s leading dance companies returns with a new performance. Blending diverse choreographic voices with global influences, the evening offers audiences a dynamic showcase of dance rooted in Miami’s multicultural landscape.

Peter London Global Dance Company presents Miami Night Stars on Sunday, May 18. The program features a range of original works, including Carmen, choreographed by Peter London—a piece that merges American contemporary styles with Flamenco in a dramatic story of passion and rivalry. Also by London, Ancestral Kings and Queens draws from Yoruba traditions and the Afro-Diaspora, set to an original score by Kebra-Seyoun Charles.

Additional highlights include Awakening, a jazz-driven and athletic work by choreographer Justin Rapaport with music by GRAMMY nominee Martin Bejerano, and Kaiso Bacchanal, a vibrant celebration inspired by West African ancestral spirit and Caribbean Carnival traditions.

Through its compelling mix of themes, movement and musicality, the performance offers a powerful reflection of Miami’s diverse communities and artistic voices.
