The Picnic Concert at McBride Plaza, held Sunday, April 27, is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs and settle in for a performance featuring the Navy Band Southeast’s Brass Quintet, known for its lively repertoire and polished sound. Guests can pack a picnic, grab a coffee or snack nearby, or continue the day with brunch at one of Coral Gables’ local restaurants.
Presented in partnership with the Navy Band Southeast and the City of Coral Gables, this concert is part of a longstanding effort to connect military musicians with the broader community. The Navy Band Southeast, founded in 1995 and based at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, supports both military and civilian audiences across the region under the direction of Lieutenant Junior Grade Nicholas Nadal.
