R-Evolution™: Marco Cochrane Sculpture
This event has passed.
Witness the larger-than-life Burning Man sculpture R-Evolution™ in person on Lincoln Road from November 14, 2023 through April 30, 2024. First debuting at Burning Man, R-Evolution™ by Bay area artist Marco Cochrane will be showcased on the East Coast for the first time ever at the 400 Block of Lincoln Road.
As the third and final sculpture of Cochrane's The Bliss Project, the monumental 45-foot, 32,000-pound kinetic sculpture is a representation of feminine strength and liberation. It features 16 motors in the chest area to simulate breathing, demonstrating how energy radiates into the world by involuntary forces. The towering sculpture challenges the viewer to see past the sexual charge that has developed around the female body.
During the day, R-Evolution™ will glow in the sun and at night it'll be illuminated with RGB LED lights. A visual spectacle that is not to be missed!
Cochrane's series of sculptures from The Bliss Project have been exhibited at the Smithsonian Art Museum and Resorts World.
