Sacred Sessions with Sacred Vedic Music
This event has passed.
Immerse yourself in the transcendent sounds of ancient devotional traditions during an afternoon of music, discussion and creative expression. Sacred Sessions with Sacred Vedic Music takes place on Saturday, March 29 at PH1b in the 33 Downtown building, offering an opportunity to explore the spiritual musical heritage of India.
The event begins with networking at 3 p.m., followed by a panel at 4 p.m. featuring musicians who have dedicated their careers to preserving and interpreting traditional devotional sounds for contemporary audiences. At 5 p.m., these artists will demonstrate their craft with a performance that transitions into kirtan—a participatory mantra meditation through music, allowing all attendees to experience this centuries-old practice firsthand.
Guests will enjoy complimentary vegetarian and vegan refreshments inspired by Hare Krishna culinary traditions. The evening concludes with an open studio session at 6 p.m., where participants can explore creative expression guided by hosts @mixbytripurari, @iamnfu and Krishnachandra (@prodbyskinnychris).
While admission is based on donation, all proceeds support Sacred Vedic Arts, a 501(c)1 nonprofit organization committed to preserving and promoting the artistic traditions of ancient India.
