Shrek: The Musical

The beloved green ogre and his fairytale friends come to life on stage in a family-friendly musical adaptation. Presented as part of the 2025 Musical Theatre for Young Audiences series, Shrek the Musical TYA runs Saturdays from July 5 to 26 at Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre. The production follows the unlikely hero's journey as he reluctantly rescues a spirited princess, only to find himself surrounded by a collection of fairytale misfits who turn his world upside down. Adapted from the DreamWorks film and the book by William Steig, the musical features songs by Jeanine Tesori and a book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire. Designed for young audiences, the production captures the humor and heart of the original story in a format suitable for all ages.

A sensory inclusive show will also be offered on July 13 to ensure accessibility for all audiences.
