Spies in My Blood
This event has passed.
Discover a firsthand account of Cold War espionage and family secrets during an author conversation at Florida International University. Spies in My Blood, a presentation by Alex Storozynski, will take place on Tuesday, April 8 in Room 102 of the SIPA II Building at FIU's Modesto A. Maidique Campus.
The event features Storozynski discussing his compelling memoir that chronicles how two brothers raised in New York by World War II exiles embarked on separate missions to infiltrate Communist secret police in Poland. Attendees will hear about the author's own investigative work behind the Iron Curtain that ultimately led to him being declared an "enemy of the state" by Polish authorities.
This presentation offers insights into previously undocumented aspects of World War II and Cold War history, examining their continued relevance in contemporary geopolitics. The event is part of the Blanka Rosenstiel Lecture Series on Poland hosted by the Green School.
Copies of Spies in My Blood will be available for purchase and signing following the presentation. Refreshments, including traditional Polish sweets, will be served during the event.
