Starting: 8:00 PM
Layered melodies and rhythmic experimentation define the unmistakable sound of Stereolab, a band that has shaped the landscape of indie music since the early 1990s. On Tuesday, September 16, the group will take the stage at the Miami Beach Bandshell for a rare performance, marking their Florida debut.
Presented by The Rhythm Foundation and Poplife, this concert brings the band’s signature blend of 1960s pop, Krautrock, jazz and electronic influences to Miami Beach. Led by founding members Tim Gane and Laetitia Sadier, Stereolab built a reputation for reinterpreting genres—drawing from bossa nova, lounge pop and film soundtracks—while incorporating layered harmonies and hypnotic grooves.
This performance marks a significant occasion for music fans, as Stereolab returned to touring in 2019 after a ten-year hiatus, coinciding with the release of deluxe reissues of their classic albums and singles.
