Spring celebration brings vibrant colors, live music and family activities to one of Miami's premier botanical settings. The Bunny Hoppening: An Easter Eggstravaganza takes place on Sunday, April 20 at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, offering visitors a full day of seasonal festivities included with general garden admission.
The event features multiple complimentary activities for families, including the Cottontail Express train rides that depart regularly from Cycad Circle between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., taking passengers through the Palmetum, Children's Garden, and Cafe areas. Visitors can participate in the Bubble Bunny Hop dance parties at 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Cycad Vista, with entertainment provided by a DJ.
Children can meet Mr. Bunny at the Phillips Courtyard from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for photo opportunities, while scheduled games including Bunny Hop Race, Egg Carry Race and Musical Chairs take place at Cycad Vista at 11:00 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
For an additional fee, visitors can enhance their experience with the Eggsplore Galore egg hunt ($17.95 per participant), where children can search for hidden treasures throughout the garden in age-appropriate groups. Hunts take place at the Garden House Lawn for:
- Ages 0-3 and 4-6 at 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
- Ages 4-6 and 7-9 at 11:15 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
- At the Children's Garden for ages 10-12 at 11:15 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
Additional purchasable options include specially curated picnic baskets for adults ($65) and children ($65), featuring seasonal treats and refreshments, as well as a Mimosa Bar ($34) offering four mini mimosa varieties including the Sunrise Mimosa, The Drunk Bunny Mimosa, Cotton Candy Mimosa and Dole Whip Mimosa.
Visitors are also encouraged to explore Fairchild's regular attractions such as the Wings of the Tropics butterfly exhibit, The Children's Garden, The Rain Forest and the new Rock and Water Garden Exhibit throughout the day.
