Two performances: 7:00 PM and 8:15 PM
Step into a world where visual art, music and movement converge to breathe new life into a celebrated stained-glass masterpiece. The Geneva Window in Motion takes place on Thursday, May 15 at The Wolfsonian - FIU, offering an innovative interpretation of Harry Clarke's renowned Geneva Window through dynamic performance.
This free event features acclaimed flamenco company Siempre Flamenco as they translate Clarke's intricate stained-glass depictions of Irish literature and folklore into a captivating blend of music, dance and storytelling. The performance showcases the talents of Paco Fonta with his evocative guitar and vocals, dancers Celia Fonta and Jose Junco, and Grammy-nominated violinist Daniela Padron, creating a cultural dialogue between Irish and Spanish artistic traditions.
Two performances will be presented at 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., with limited capacity for each showing. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot, as admission operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The evening presents a rare opportunity to experience how traditional art forms can be reimagined through cross-cultural performance.
The event is presented in collaboration with Siempre Flamenco, Inc., with support from the City of Miami Beach and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
