The intersection of film, culture and community takes center stage as Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) hosts the opening night of an annual festival spotlighting Caribbean cinema. This special evening invites guests to experience a powerful new documentary followed by music and celebration along Biscayne Bay.
Third Horizon Film Festival Opening Night will take place on Thursday, May 29 at PAMM. The event begins with the Florida premiere of Koutkekout (At All Kosts), a 2024 documentary by Joseph Hillel. Set in Port-au-Prince, the film chronicles the resilience of Haitian artists behind the Quatre Chemins theater festival, offering a moving exploration of creativity amid adversity. A Q&A with the director will follow the screening, which runs from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tickets are required for the film screening and are included with museum admission.
From 9:00 to 11:00 p.m., the evening continues with an afterparty on the museum’s waterfront terrace, featuring DJ sets, community activations and a live performance. Terrace programming is free and open to the public.
