Jan 23, 2026 - Jan 24, 2026
Starting: 8:00 PM
Experience one of the most emotionally charged works in the classical repertoire, performed by The Cleveland Orchestra in an acoustically superb venue. Verdi's Requiem comes to the Adrienne Arsht Center on January 23 and 24, presented as part of The Cleveland Orchestra in Miami concert series.
Under the direction of acclaimed conductor Franz Welser-Möst, this performance brings together The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and an exceptional quartet of soloists including soprano Asmik Grigorian, mezzo-soprano Deniz Uzun, tenor Joshua Guerrero and bass Tareq Nazmi.
The program features Verdi's monumental Requiem, a work that showcases the composer's operatic sensibilities applied to sacred music. While best recognized for its dramatic Dies Irae section with its powerful drum strikes, the piece guides listeners through an exploration of grief that ultimately resolves in tranquility and hope.
This collaboration between The Cleveland Orchestra and the Adrienne Arsht Center offers Miami audiences the opportunity to witness one of America's premier orchestras perform a masterpiece that balances dramatic intensity with moments of sublime tenderness in the elegant surroundings of the Arsht Center.
