On Thursday, November 21, Vibes Live Festival: Jean Caze kicks off the second festival-style weekend of the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Live on the Plaza concert series. Acclaimed Haitian-American trumpeter and composer Jean Caze brings his signature blend of Afro-Caribbean rhythms and American jazz to the stage, drawing inspiration from musical legends like Hugh Masekela and Fela Kuti. Known for his dynamic performances, Caze has shared the stage with legendary artists like Herbie Hancock, Aretha Franklin and Al Jarreau.
Joined by a six piece band, Caze will deliver a lively program of Haitian rhythms, catchy melodies, improvisation and audience interaction. The performance takes place outdoors at the Center’s Parker and Vann Thomson Plaza for the Arts, with happy hour available from 6 to 7 p.m., offering $8 wines and $6 beers. General admission seating is first come, first served.
