Vizcaya's Rose Garden: A Behind the Scenes Tour

Led by Senior Horticulturist Marco Perez-Alvarez, this intimate tour reveals the compelling story of Vizcaya's rose collection, which was devastated by the Great Hurricane of 1920 and took over 90 years to restore. Visitors will learn about the garden's history, development and the techniques used to bring the flowers back to their former glory.

The experience offers insights for both dedicated rose enthusiasts and casual garden admirers, including practical care tips that participants can apply to their own home gardens. Throughout the tour, visitors will encounter a diverse collection of roses, each with distinct characteristics, colors and fragrances.

Tickets include general admission to Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and are priced at $39 for adults, $24 for children ages 6-12 and $10 for Vizcaya members. The program will proceed regardless of weather conditions, and tickets purchased online are non-refundable and non-transferable.
