Grammy-winning musicians unite for an evening of jazz excellence featuring piano and saxophone. When Two Masters Meet: Negroni & Calle - Jazz by Two brings together acclaimed pianist José Negroni and celebrated saxophonist Dr. Ed Calle at the Koubek Center on Saturday, May 10.
This dynamic duo performance blends improvisation with globally renowned repertoire alongside original compositions by both artists. The evening will also feature Cuban vocalist Paz Luaces, whose powerful and melodious voice has earned international recognition. Together, these three accomplished musicians will transport audiences on a dreamlike musical journey.
Dr. Ed Calle is a renowned saxophonist, composer and educator who has recorded with legends including Frank Sinatra, Gloria Estefan and Arturo Sandoval. José Negroni brings his expertise as a pianist, composer, producer and artistic director known for notable projects such as Ready for Christmas, Michel Legrand & Burt Bacharach Story and Del Son al Flamenco.
This performance is part of Miami-Dade County Auditorium's Away From Home Series, which presents performances at various South Florida venues during the auditorium's renovation period. The series ensures that the magic of performing arts continues to captivate audiences through off-site performances at alternative venues with community partners throughout this transition.
