Women's Voices: New Perspectives in the Archives

The Miami-Dade Public Library System celebrates Women's History Month on Thursday, March 7, with an all-day exhibition featuring works by female artists from the Woman Artist Archives Miami (WAAM). Titled Women’s Voices: New Perspectives in the Archive, the group show is the second of a two-part exhibition series curated by Anita Sharma, founder of WAAM. The multidisciplinary exhibit showcases the unique voices and artistic visions of WAAM artists, featuring a diverse range of artistic mediums, including photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, fiber practice and mixed media works.
Women’s Voices: New Perspectives in the Archive brings together the works of Rosemarie Chiarlone, Cara Despain, Sophia Lacroix, Mary Larsen, Susan Lee-Chun, Kerry Phillips, Johanne Rahaman, Claire Jeanine Satin, Carol Todaro, VantaBlack and Zonia Zena.
