Coral Reef Park
Outdoor Experiences
Tucked away in a residential Palmetto Bay neighborhood in South Dade, the large Coral Reef Park features a canal deep enough for kayaking and landscaping that makes the most of Miami’s tropical climate.
Family Fun
Coral Reef Park has something for everyone – but it’s especially good for families. Take your kids to the Bridget Allison Pier Playground or let them run around one of the park’s large, grassy fields. Play beach volleyball on a real sand volleyball court, throw a football around, play soccer, take a tennis lesson with a tennis pro or try your hand at racquetball. If you’re there for a workout, run along the marked exercise trail (and stop at its exercise stations along the way) or sign up for a fitness class. Every visit to the park is also an opportunity for education, as visitors can explore its natural pinelands preserve and spot local birds and wildlife.
Garden and Water Activities
Ready to relax? Soak in some peace and quiet at the Ken Robinson Meditation Garden and Gazebo or bring your own kayak and paddle down the canal that runs through the park. When you’re hungry, grab a bite to eat at the onsite Parkside Café. For a fun way to end the day, Coral Reef Park hosts outdoor movies on select nights throughout the year.
Rental Information
Picnic tables, sports fields, the indoor recreation room and a larger gazebo and bandshell are available for rent. All facilities can be reserved on a first come, first served basis.
